Raphael Wanjala at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi on Arrival on Sunday
And the former Budalang’i MP said he was happy to be back home. Yesterday Wanjala arrived alone, leaving behind his girlfriend and businesswoman Joyce Akinyi in Entebe, Uganda. But he said she was to arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) last night.
“I am very happy to be back home. I have learnt many things out there and I will share with you later,” he said. Dressed in a cream suit, a gold neck chain and black shoes, the excited former legislator arrived at JKIA at around 4pm.
A handful of supporters welcomed him and escorted him to his car. The crowd mobbed him as he stepped out of the lounge with some hugging and kissing him. Others encouraged photographers to take his pictures and publish them.

It was my burthday last week and a great one it was! I turned 2* … and no am not 28.
Just arrived in the office this morning and work is dropping on my desk like I have a whole team behind it. Lets assume there is and work like it really is. There is a small team; me, myself and the intern.
So, let see. I have a few things coming this week. First there is a car that was to change hands last weekend [into mine] but the deal fell through. Am hoping I can complete it this week. Then there is a certain development deal that is due for completin tomorrow … and I can’t wait! Then there is another development deal that kept me up till late last night.
I was building a gallery for a client whose project should since since be over. Dynamicdrive.com, I owe you! That photo gallery script is just what I needed! peraps I can buy you a beer sometime … ?
When we complete that later this week – I can expect not to worry too much about my finances! Then there are a few other things in the pipeline that will keep my hand and eyes firmly on my laptop.
Perhaps these are the things they call ‘mammon’?
I have been reading ‘The purpose driven life’ – a most inspirational book. Sorta fell off schedule a week ago. I’m taking that up again this week and trust I’ll be able to make good progress.
Wish me luck!

Am looking at working on this cool app for a client – maintaining their fanbook on facebook, staring off with a cool 4193 fans!
This a big move for my hustling – working for one of the main politicians in Nairobi! Good and bad. God opportunity to network, met people and influence people. Still politicians are politicians!

I am writing this under my mother’s roof. Somewhere between the Aberdares Ranges and Mount Kenya. My safaricom modem has been super-behaving and am quite pleased at the service am getting. Its actually performing much better than it does back in Nairobi city.
This is where I was born – and part of where I grew up twenty-something-odd years ago. That anniversary is coming around towards the end of next week. This is, therefore, a time for reflection, thanksgiving and planning. Gishagi is Kikuyu for village. but usually it is meant to mean home- as in home where you come from. This is especially the case where one works far from home. If you hear some one saying they are going to gichagi – it doesn’t mean that they are going to visit a village – it means its time to go to That village.
This is my ‘That Village’. I like this place – I know a lot of people here. Some have known my parents longer than I’ve known my parents.
My parents were not born here. There moved here working to develop their careers. Working in the civil service for several decades teaching at te local school. That government money has taken me n me siblings through school and campus. Gave us a roof over our heads and food on our table.
I have countless things to thank the Lord for as I reach this othe milestone in my life.
Am glad that that EDGE is working like this here, it means that the possibilities for using this technology are quite enormous! But its means a lot to me today in this place. Am a programmer who soon wants to become an internet entrepreneur. This is what i need.
In other news, the seacom cable reached the east african coast today. it means a lot to east african content developers. perhaps one day speed will not be a factor in developing web applications

Is it completely impossible to set up and run Google analytics on Drupal? Does that that happen because the Google Analytics is running on IIS?
Been trying to install the module through on the drupal module panel but nothing seems to work! Now I’ve added it to the template but still. . . .

I work in this place where the management spends quite some time, human energy and cash to make sure that all we worker-bees keep buzzing at our computers and churning out products at an acceptable rate.
This means websensing the content of our internet access. They have this really annoying and really useful firewall app that filters out some web pages because in the management’s opinion “internet access is to be used primarily for word purposes and this website is not. it either has adult content, or has other content that is not work related”
That is good and bad. The app is Websense that describes itself as : An internet access management system that allows an organization to monitor, report and manage internal Internet use.
